I prepared a quick vlog prior to my departure to Knoxville, TN for the Social Slam 2012 event. I think Mark Schaefer is an outstanding blogger, author, speaker, and engager – and I am confident he will be an excellent host for his own event.
Of course I am also looking forward to the speakers and panelists as well as finally meeting online friends face-to-face.
I’m curious to see what happens when you put Sean McGinnis, Sam Fiorella and Gini Dietrich in the same room because they can be hilarious in the same Twitter dialogue.
I anticipate Margie Clayman’s sharp wit in full display at the receptions. I am sure we can debate the merits of Colt McCoy and calculate how many miles must be run to balance out a single Oreo Ball.
I appreciate the venue to meet other bloggers and professionals who I already respect for their online engagement and insight.
I do hope to have some lively discussions around social media monitoring, also. Although my readers know I am not pushy (did I mention I suck at sales), I would enjoy showing a few attendees Mantis Pulse Analytics. I expect many attendees will have used other social media monitoring tools, so their experienced feedback can only enrich our own product.
Who knows, we might make some new Pulse Analytics fans…
I hope to see several of you at the Social Slam 2012!!
I love my wife and two daughters. I am blessed in that I also love my job as a principal and EVP of the Rocky Mountain Region for Mantis Technology Group. I am excited to promote our Pulse Analytics social media monitoring and sentiment analysis solution. I enjoy teaching and coaching. I graduated UT-Austin. You can find Brian on Google+.
I would definitely encourage attendance, Tammy. The price is right, and people are very accessible to you to get to know authors and potential partners. Maybe we will see each other at Social Slam 2013!
It was an outstanding time. I really enjoyed Knoxville, and Mark Schaefer knows how to put on a great event that encourages learning and professional networking.
Brian, aloha. What a cast of characters. It is guaranteed you will have some Tall Tales to tell when you return. Thinking of Gini, Sam and Sean together boggles the mind.
Best wishes to you and Pulse Analytics for a fun and profitable trip. Enjoy, my friend. Aloha. Janet
Will the drinks and appetizers before the VIP reception made for some interesting topics...and then there were the three questions for the Social Slam shot glass involving (1) Pinterest, (2) Klout and (3) which social networks will be the high risers and dramatic sinkers.
Looking forward to tomorrow, Janet.
Yes, indeed, those 3 topics would stir up the conversations and emotions.
