Apex Awards – Colorado Technology Association Celebrates Innovation
Did I mention I love living in Colorado? Sure, I enjoy waking up to sunny days almost every single day! However, I also appreciate the Colorado Technology Association as a non-profit dedicated to encouraging IT innovation and professional networking. You have probably heard me discussing DEMOgala and C-Level at a Mile High, but today I want to talk to you about a true celebration of IT Innovation called the Apex Awards.
Apex Award nominations close on August 22nd this year. You can “buy a little extra time” and extend that nomination date to September 5th; however, the process is easy enough that you should still have time to get those nominations in before the deadline. Feel free to nominate other companies or even self-nominate. In some cases, you may be standing on a “powder-keg” of innovation – and be the only one who knows about it.
Finalists get nice media exposure. In some cases, becoming a finalist has led to additional investments in the companies. Colorado prides itself on supporting innovation!
The awards ceremony will be October 24, 2012. It will include a VIP Reception with industry leaders, a Keynote speaker, and the award announcements themselves. It is a great way to get the buzz started for DEMOgala the following evening (October 25, 2012).
Here is a video with more details. Evaluate whether you might know a candidate – or be the candidate – for nominations in the following categories:
- Technology Company of the Year
- Technology Project of the Year
- Technology Entrepreneur of the Year
- Technology Community Connector of the Year
- Bob Newman Lifetime Achievement
- Technology Teacher of the Year
Hope to see you at Apex Awards and DEMOGala on October 24th and 25th, 2012!
