#HecklersHangout 12 – The Men of @Triberr speak up!

Dino Dogan and Dan Cristo talk about Triberr on Heckler's HangoutWe had a great conversation this week with Dino Dogan and Dan Cristo – the brains and brawn behind Triberr. The conversation easily could have gone on for another 3-4 hours, we think, but we had to cut it to an hour because, well, Brian needed to watch his Denver Broncos. I know. I didn’t think it was a great reason either.

We still were able to cover a lot of ground in the hour we did have with the Triberr boys. Here are some of the issues we discussed.

• The ultimate goal of Triberr as a way to help the “Middle Class” of the online world. Dino and Dan believe strongly that bloggers should be able to get their content out there, even if they don’t have a lot of Twitter followers, or even if they aren’t huge “influencers” in the online space. Triberr is intended to give those “little guys” the reach they deserve.

  • Ultimately, the hope is that you will still read peoples’ content, but the “approve” setting and scheduling capabilities Triberr offers enable you to help give a boost to someone’s traffic, and then you can go back and read their posts when you have time.
  • Triberr offers a WordPress plugin and other features aimed at helping you increase comments. A syndication feature will carry your Triberr comments to any platform to which your post is published.
  • Something new will be launching in January. Keep your eyes and ears open.
  • We also talked about the hairy issue of linking to big posts via Triberr. A lot of writers are linking to their articles in Forbes or other well-known publications. While the content is good, this was not the actual original intent of Triberr.

There was a lot more to the conversation. Dan and Dino were great, albeit quite self-deprecating, guests. We hope they accept our invitation to come back on to talk about this new project they are brewing up. In the meantime, here is a link to our hangout!

Our guest next week is Ken Mueller, amazing blogger at Inkling Media and a pretty cool guy, too. We’ll hope to see you there!
