I thought I would never feel more guilty about co-hosting a Hecklers’ Hangout than I did the night Brian was recording from a hospital waiting room while his daughter was giving birth to his first grandson. I thought nothing could ever top that level of dedication on Brian’s part. Then today happened. Not only was today Valentine’s Day, it was also Brian’s BIRTHDAY. And not only that, it was Brian’s 25th anniversary of proposing to his beautiful and awesome wife Krista. And still, he showed up.
It was all for a good cause, of course. Sean McGinnis was our very special guest. Sean has been cooking up some great stuff with his 312 Digital Company and we were looking forward to the opportunity to talk to Sean about this new venture.
Believe it or not, we actually had some pretty decent conversation. In addition to learning about Sean’s first SEO class, which happened in late January, we learned a little bit more about what he is hoping to accomplish, why he won’t take his classes digital, and how he ended up NOT being on the speaking roster at his first training session. We also covered some good SEO topics thanks to our hecklers, who were: Dawn Rasmussen, Kaarina Dillabough, Mike Stenger, and Mark Salke. We talked about Google Plus, what happens when a bigger site duplicates your content, and the 3 biggest travesties Sean encounters on a regular basis.
