#HecklersHangout 23 – Taking Over the World with Dave Van de Walle (@Area224)

You might have noticed by now that pretty much everyone we have on #HecklersHangout is quite multi-faceted. We often have to ask our guests, “So, um, which of your million projects are we focusing on?” That was certainly the conversation we had with Dave Van de Walle.

When I first met Dave, his primary gig was serving as one of two masterminds at Shortly after we became friends on Facebook, Dave announced the launch of something called New Frugality, a blog that offers tips on how to save money.

Over the last several months, Dave has been busy satirizing the social media world via a character named Jack Jones. “Jack” has just over 23,000 followers on Twitter and his Facebook page cranks out some of the funniest memes you’ll see.

Dave’s newest venture is called This is based on the idea that through strategic decision-making, you can actually save yourself (or make yourself) $10,000 a year. The tips have been terrific so far.

    • OK, this should get interesting…so what audience do I REALLY want to invite to this shindig? We so often talk about tech, books and marketing, but this seems like a much broader audience. I know “frugality” caught my eye.
